How do I join the league?
First, you need to create a profile on LeagueBuddy. More info on LeagueBuddy is found below.
Once you have your profile set up, you need to wait for registration to open and register for the season.
There will be a few options to choose from at registration time:
- If you already have a specific team in mind, and that team has invited you to join them, choose “Find My Existing Team”. If the name of the team doesn’t appear in the list, that means you’re the first to register, and you should create the team name.
- If you don't know anyone who is already in the league with a team that you can join, choose “Help Me Find A Team”. Teams looking for players look at this list for new players.
- If you are already an experienced curler and want to curl, but not able to join a team full time, choose “Sign up as a Spare”
Also, if you are new to the sport of curling, we will offer a curling clinic to teach you how to curl. The date for that is usually at the end of September / early October. Check the News page for updated clinic details once they are available.
PRO TIP: If this is your first year curling with Apollo, please create your profile on League Buddy (see below) now, so that when registration opens up, you can simply register, you don't have to also create your profile at the same time.
Apollo Curling uses League Buddy to manage player registration, schedules, fee payment, and so on. You will need to create a login there, and select Apollo Curling as your league. You can watch a short video below if you need assistance creating a login on League Buddy.

Detailed steps to get set up on League Buddy
- First, create a login (either a League Buddy username/password, or an existing third party account) as shown in the video above.
- Once you are able to log in, you should see a Link under the "League" heading labelled "Join New" with a plus sign. Click on the link or the plus sign.
- On the next screen choose Apollo Curling, then click the "I'm Interested" button.
- Back on the main League Buddy page, you'll need to populate your personal profile (Name, address, and so on), and complete your League Profile.
- Once your profiles have been completed, you should be able to see the League Registration link. Click that.
- On the Registration page, if the league is still accepting new teams, you can register a new team. Otherwise, you can join your teammates on an existing team, or sign up for the Spare list.
