Lucky Tiebreaker

In the “Lucky” option, one team member will be chosen to draw a card from a thoroughly shuffled standard deck. Each card holds a unique point value, ranging from 1 to 100, as per the table provided below.

Here’s the procedure:playing cards

  1. A Western Cup volunteer will shuffle the deck of cards multiple times before placing it on the table.
  2. The nominated player, using one hand, will cut the deck, ensuring to take more than 10 cards and leave more than 10 cards on the table.
  3. The volunteer will then flip over the top card remaining on the table after the cut.
  4. The team’s tie-breaker points will be determined based on the value of this overturned card.

This method ensures a suspenseful and exciting tie-breaking process!

Please note, this tiebreaker is only used for seeding the playoff brackets and does not apply to playoff games, which will still be decided by a draw to the button contest.
