Lucky Tiebreaker
In the “Lucky” option, one team member will be chosen to draw a card from a thoroughly shuffled standard deck. Each card holds a unique point value, ranging from 1 to 100, as per the table provided below.
Here’s the procedure:
- A Western Cup volunteer will shuffle the deck of cards multiple times before placing it on the table.
- The nominated player, using one hand, will cut the deck, ensuring to take more than 10 cards and leave more than 10 cards on the table.
- The volunteer will then flip over the top card remaining on the table after the cut.
- The team’s tie-breaker points will be determined based on the value of this overturned card.
This method ensures a suspenseful and exciting tie-breaking process!
Please note, this tiebreaker is only used for seeding the playoff brackets and does not apply to playoff games, which will still be decided by a draw to the button contest.
